Have you ever watched a flight of ducks cut across the morning sky and felt a pull to understand the tradition of waterfowl hunting more deeply? The world of waterfowl hunting is rich with history and connection to our wetlands but finding your way in as a new hunter can feel overwhelming. Join the Kinfolk Hunting Collective community for a welcoming, online introduction to this timeless practice.
In this virtual workshop, we’ll create a safe and open space for you to ask questions and learn the fundamentals. Our experienced mentors will guide you through the essentials, sharing stories and practical advice on:
Beginning Your Journey: We’ll cover how to find public lands, what essential gear you really need (and what you don't), and how to navigate licenses and regulations with confidence.
A Safe & Ethical Hunt: Learn the core principles of hunting waterfowl safely, basic waterfowl identification, and the conservation ethics that anchor our community.
From Field to Table: The experience doesn’t end with the hunt. We’ll discuss how to care for your harvest and share tips for turning it into a delicious, meaningful meal.
This event is designed for those with little to no experience in waterfowl hunting. We are a space where no question is too basic and everyone is welcome. This event is open to everyone, but we especially want to extend a warm welcome to our BIPOC, Queer, and Women kin who are curious about waterfowl hunting.
